How to Download TikTok Videos, Sounds and Slideshows
TikTok lets creators turn off the built-in save button, and even when it’s on, saved clips can come with an overlay. Here’s how to save a public TikTok as the original file instead, without installing anything.
1. Copy the link
Open the TikTok you want, tap Share, then Copy link. On a computer, copy the address from your browser’s address bar. Links containing /video/ are videos; links containing /photo/ are photo slideshows.
2. Paste it into ReelVideoDownloader
Go to the TikTok downloader and paste the link into the box. On a computer you can press Ctrl / ⌘ + V anywhere on the page. ReelVideoDownloader detects TikTok automatically.
3. Choose what to save
- Video: saves the clip as an MP4.
- Audio: saves just the sound, handy for a song you want to identify later.
- Photo: for slideshows, every picture gets its own download button.
Where does the file go?
On Android, look in the Downloads folder or your Files app. On iPhone, Safari saves it to the Files app under Downloads. Open it and tap the share icon, then Save Video to move it to Photos.
It didn’t work?
Make sure the account is public and that you copied the whole link. Private videos and videos from private accounts can’t be downloaded.
Please be fair to creators: keep downloads for personal viewing and ask before reposting.
