Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information ReelVideoDownloader (“we”, “us”) handles when you use this website, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
1. Information we collect
- Links you paste. When you press Download, the link is sent to our server so the media can be fetched. We do not store the link or the downloaded files, and we do not keep a history of what you download.
- Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically processes your IP address, browser type and the time of each request to deliver pages and protect the service from abuse. These logs are short-lived.
- Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write.
- Cookies and local storage. We save your light/dark theme choice in your browser’s local storage. Advertising partners may set cookies, as described in section 5.
We do not ask you to create an account and we never ask for passwords to your social media accounts.
2. How we use information
- To fetch the media for the link you submit and deliver the file to you.
- To keep the website secure, prevent abuse and fix errors.
- To understand overall usage so we can improve the service.
- To reply when you contact us.
3. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with providers that help us run the service:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and processes requests on our behalf.
- Media processing service. The link you submit is passed to a third-party processing service that locates the media file for that public post.
- Advertising partners such as Google, as described below.
- Authorities, when we are legally required to respond to a valid request.
4. Data retention
Links you paste and the files you download are not stored by us after your request is completed. Download links we generate expire after 30 minutes. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
5. Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps ReelVideoDownloader free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.

6. Security
All traffic to ReelVideoDownloader is encrypted with HTTPS and we take reasonable measures to protect the service. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Because we keep almost no personal data, most requests can be answered quickly. Email support@reelvideodownloader.com to make a request.
8. Children’s privacy
ReelVideoDownloader is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use ReelVideoDownloader after an update means you accept the revised policy.
